COMPLETE CAMPFIRE BAN NOW IN EFFECT
Effective at noon on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015, the existing fire ban in the Coastal Fire Centre will be expanded to cover all areas within
the fire centre's jurisdiction, including the "fog zone", to help prevent human-caused fires and protect public safety.
A map of the effected area is available here. This prohibition has been instituted due to hot and dry weather across the province.
The amount of rain seen in June was well below normal. Please also note the activities and devices prohibited during this ban.
To report a wildfire or open burning violation, call 1-800-663-5555 toll free or dial *5555 on a cell phone.
