Open Burning is Now Prohibited in Port McNeill Except for Small Campfires Small campfires 0.5 meters in height and 0.5 meters in diameter (20 inches by 20 inches) are allowed without a permit provided there is no provincial ban. Residents are encouraged to visit the Wildfire Management Branch website at bcwildfire.ca or call the toll-free number 1-888-336-7378 for more information on campfire bans. A copy of the Environmental Management Act and map of the prohibited area is now available at the Port McNeill Town Office. |
