Port McNeill Museum
The Port McNeill and District Museum is celebrating the “History of Women in the Forest Industry”. The first sector profiled is the industry's log scalers on the North Island. The display includes pictures, biographies, as well as a video of interviews and ‘scalers at work’. The full display can be viewed at the Port McNeill Museum during regular
opening hours.
Open Burning is Now Prohibited in Port McNeill Except for Small Campfires
Small campfires 0.5 meters in height and 0.5 meters in diameter (20 inches by 20 inches) are allowed without a permit provided there is no provincial ban.
